OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS PROVIDED BY NTA! REOPENED APPLICATIONS FOR THE UG ADMISSIONS

The National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Education (MoE) which was earlier known as the Ministry of Human Resource Development -MHRD as an independent, autonomous, and self-reliant premier testing organization. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been assigned the task of conducting the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) for Post Graduate (PG) programs for 2022.

Central University Entrance Test (CUET), for admission to different programs of the participating Central Universities, will provide a single-window opportunity to the students to seek admission to these participating Universities / Institute(s) across the country. 

As of now, 9,50,804 Candidates have registered for admission into 86 Universities out of which there are 43 Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed Universities, and 18 Private Universities. The candidates can take the test in any of the 13 mediums being offered, and select any combination out of 33 languages and 27 unique subjects. One candidate has applied to 5 Universities, and on average, there are more than 54,000 unique combinations of subjects chosen by various candidates. 

CUET syllabus:

For CUET UG, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has assured that all questions set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for CUET will be from NCERT Class XII textbooks and students need not enroll in any extra coaching class to prepare for this exam. Similarly, for CUET PG, the course studied in their UG degree will be enough to prepare for the PG entrance exam.

CUET UG exam pattern:

The CUET 2022 has been divided into three parts: Section I (IA and IB) is designed to test language skills, Section II is an assessment of a candidate’s hold on core subjects they wish to pursue and Section III will test general knowledge. Further, Section I has been divided into two parts – IA and IB — where IA will assess knowledge of English or an Indian language (from a list of Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia) and section IB is for those looking to sign up for undergraduate degree programs in foreign languages. The languages on offer are French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian and Chinese.  

CUET EXAM DATES:

Accordingly, the CUET(UG) will be conducted on 15.07.2022, 16.07.2022, 19.07.2022, 20.07.2022, 04.08.2022, 05.08.2022, 06.08.2022, 07.08.2022, 08.08.2022, 10.08.2022 in CBT mode. 

CUET 2022:

The registration and application correction window for the Common University Entrance Test- Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2022 has been reopened on June 23. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the registration window for CUET UG 2022 due to high demand from students. Candidates who wish to apply for the CUET exam 2022 or want to make corrections or changes to their application forms can do so by visiting the official website– cuet.samarth.ac.in. The registration and the CUET form correction window will be available till June 24 (up to 11:50 pm).  

“Since it is the only exam for entry into Central University System (UG Courses), the Registration is once again being opened for one last time on the demand of the Candidates. All the candidates who are interested to apply for the said Examination are advised to visit the website (cuet.samarth.ac.in) and complete the application process,” an NTA said in a statement.
